Kevin Trommer
Deputy Director
Kevin Trommer is an accomplished communications and public policy strategist with nearly a decade of governmental affairs experience working with nonprofit, public agency, private sector, and Fortune 500 clients.
Kevin specializes in taking complex policy concepts and distilling them into clear, concise, and effective communication narratives that can be leveraged to establish beneficial partnerships, a talent he utilizes to catalyze positive systemic and organizational change. In the past he helped craft and implement regulatory consumer protections for the Property Assessed Clean Energy program in Los Angeles County.
He has been a part of the digital currency space since 2013, when he first discovered Bitcoin and immediately recognized its enormous innovative potential. He is excited to lend his talents and historic perspective to the DCTA in order to help facilitate the adoption of digital currencies through establishing strategic partnerships and implementing robust education and consumer protection programs.
Kevin earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science with an emphasis in Comparative Politics and a minor in African Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he graduated Cum Laude with honors.
